1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using DocxLab ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not access or use the application.

2. User Rights & Content Responsibility

You retain full copyright, ownership, and intellectual property rights to any documents, images, or spreadsheets you upload or process through DocxLab.

You represent and warrant that you own or possess all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions for the files you submit, and that your use of the Service does not infringe upon third-party copyrights, trademarks, privacy rights, or trade secrets.

3. Ephemeral File Purge & No Backup Policy

DocxLab is designed exclusively as an on-demand utility, not a storage or archiving service.

• Server files are held strictly in temporary memory and are automatically destroyed after 60 minutes.
• We do not retain backups or copies of your documents after this window.
• You are solely responsible for saving and maintaining your own original files and downloaded results.

4. "As-Is" Provision & Limitation of Liability

DocxLab and its document manipulation algorithms are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

While our repair and conversion engines strive for high fidelity with ISO/IEC 29500 and PDF 1.7 standards, we cannot guarantee that every corrupted document can be recovered or that formatting across complex layouts will render identically to native software. In no event shall DocxLab or its developers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from data loss or document alteration.

5. Fair Use & Rate Limiting

No user account or signup is required. To protect platform availability and prevent automated abuse, automated rate limits and temporary IP throttling are enforced. Excessive automated scraping or denial-of-service attempts will be blocked.
