1. Data Collection & Ephemeral Document Storage

DocxLab operates on a strict privacy-first architecture. We do not require accounts, logins, email addresses, or personal identity information to use any of our tools.

• Client-side processing: Many of our tools (including PDF merge, split, rotate, watermark, protect, unlock, and all Canvas-based image utilities) operate 100% locally in your web browser. Your files never leave your device.
• Server-side processing: For tools requiring server execution (such as Word file XML repair, Excel conversion, and document rendering), uploaded files are held exclusively in temporary in-memory buffers.
• Automatic 1-hour purge: All temporary server files and diagnostic tokens are automatically purged and permanently destroyed after 60 minutes. We never maintain permanent storage or document archives.
• IP addresses: We do not log visitor activity. IP addresses are temporarily used solely in memory for abusive request throttling and rate limiting, and are never tied to individual document content.

2. Advertising & Google AdSense Cookies

To keep DocxLab free and open to everyone without paywalls or subscriptions, we display advertisements provided by Google AdSense and third-party advertising partners.

Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on DocxLab. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

3. Third-Party Analytics & Links

DocxLab may include external links to our technical blog (located at blog.docxlab.com) or reference sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of external sites as their practices are outside our direct control.

4. Data Security

All data transfers to and from DocxLab are encrypted using standard Transport Layer Security (TLS/HTTPS). In-memory processing structures prevent document persistence to disk wherever possible.
